Chris Caulfield, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, has spent his career at the intersection of clinical practice and healthcare compliance — first as a practicing nurse practitioner, then as the clinical-compliance executive behind one of healthcare's largest marketplaces, and now as founder and CEO of NP Collaborator and author of The Fair Price for Collaboration Report.

As co-founder and Chief Nursing Officer of IntelyCare — the digital healthcare staffing marketplace that reached a $1.1 billion valuation — Chris built the compliance infrastructure that let a two-sided clinical marketplace operate at national scale: he led the organization to Joint Commission certification, built multi-state credentialing systems, ran clinical quality teams, and founded IntelyEDU, an ANCC-accredited nursing education program that has helped more than 600,000 nurses earn continuing-education contact hours.

He brings that same discipline to NP collaboration, one of the least transparent compliance markets in outpatient care. NP Collaborator connects nurse practitioners and physician associates with collaborating physicians in all 50 states, and publishes what no vendor would: real market prices. The Fair Price for Collaboration Report — the first all-in cost study of collaborating physician fees, built from 2,000+ real signed contracts — grew directly out of Chris's own experience being quoted well over $1,000 a month for an arrangement the data shows most NPs get for $499 to $599.

Chris remains a board-certified family nurse practitioner with clinical experience in urgent care and primary care. He trained at Frontier Nursing University, and is an EY Entrepreneur of the Year (New England) and Boston Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree.
